Bonjour, hello!
My name is Geneviève, you can also call me Gen!
My pronouns are she/her/elle, et oui, je suis bilingue. My practice as a bilingual Registered Psychologist is rooted in a deep appreciation for each individual’s story, personal struggles, and inherent strengths. We all go through hard times and can benefit from some support to process and find our own best way forward. My goal is to hold a safe space for you within which we will sit and reflect with compassion. Together we can walk the paths you lead us on with connection and vulnerability – meeting in a space that is trauma-informed and culturally supportive.
I am experienced working with adult individuals and couples, as well as teens and children. Common concerns I have help my clients with are feelings of something holding them back, stress, life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, insomnia, and wanting to better understand themselves in their values, emotions, and life patterns.
With clients of any age, I draw on many different modalities. We sometimes focus on thoughts and behaviours, and sometime emotions or early life experiences need our attention. For children I draw on a number of play modalities with both directive and non-directive approaches. Regardless of what the struggle is, sessions are tailored to each client.
I combine the knowledge gained from my own non-linear life journey, including in expressive visual arts, with the social justice framework of my degree to support clients of all ages and walks of life. I continue to actively seek out learning opportunities and training to best support my clients.
Sessions are offered in both English and French, based on your comfort and preference.
